Weekly Indie Devlog #10 - CW32, 2024
Elcovia for Android - New App release, Elcovia Web
Out of nowhere, more than 11 weeks have passed since the last dev log. How time flies with all the turbulent news around the globe. Many more things have been done in those last weeks, and this week's indie dev log will not be able to cover all of that. On the contrary, this will only cover the dev news from my side from CW22. I hope you still have some interest in that, though. 😁
Elcovia for Android
I've been working hard and at a high speed to release a mobile version of Elcovia. In the following paragraph, you can see the Android App of Elcovia.
While this statement is correct, some unknown information is left out. Elcovia was a mobile/ Android-first project a year ago. It already contained all the functionality the web application has right now, minus a few smaller additions.
I had to migrate from the MVVM to the MVI architecture, make some design improvements, and get it ready for publication in a short time.
I think I did this mainly as a challenge to myself—to finish what I start. To prove that even this project is worth finishing and releasing, to be shown to the world. Either it's good and users like the app, or in the worst case, it will become a technical showcase/portfolio product—so there's no loss on my side.

There's currently a small page dedicated to the mobile apps for Elcovia. Right now, it's only available for Android, but if the Elcovia project becomes more successful, an iOS app might follow.
